A Birthday Wish to a Friend

The person whom i admire
For his joyfulness an smile
For his simplicity and love
that he bare.

It is not a guilt to say
to everyone around
never late to the dearest
how much one meant before one is away.

Feeling is in the heart
No one can touch
Stays there forever
as long as the bit of heart.

In the eve of the new
every year comes and
passes by leaving so many things
like that of a morning dew.

Withers away in the sun
like never it was there
but keeps the grasses green
and butterflies in fun.

Shine like the dew in the morning
flourish in everything
that joyful song in your birthday
I want to sing.

How do I remove a VISTA PC from a domain without losing the user settings?

PROBLEM:

I have 2 PCs (Running Windows Vista) that used to be part of a windows 2003 Domain. The Domain is gone(the System it was on got formatted). I want to switch the PCs off of the domain, but I don't want to lose the user settings on the systems.

SOLUTION:

If u want to save user settings and files u can use two methods:

01. Using Windows Easy Transfer.

You can find the related information from the following link:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928634

02. using USMT user state migration tool.

You can download USMT to use in VISTA from the following link

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=799ab28c-691b-4b36-b7ad-6c604be4c595&DisplayLang=en

After taking the user settings and files (logging into the local PC or this PC) into a flash drive, u can remove the PC from domain by removing the DNS suffix and changing the membership to a workgroup by selecting the workgroup option.

N.B.: You have to properly and carefully type the username and password that you have used to join domain.

Group Scopes Under Security Group in Windows Server 2003

LOCAL GROUP SCOPE

Local group scope in workstation environment

DOMAIN LOCAL GROUP SCOPE:

Explanation of the Figure: In the figure there is a share folder named “ImpS” which is located on Abc.Mydomain.local child domain. And sales group has got full control or whatever permission applicable for it. According to the definition of “Domain Local Group” “sales” group can have members form “mydomain.local” and “xyz.mydomain.local” also. But “sales” group can be assigned for permission to any share resources in that local domain meaning “abc.mydomain.local. If you try to give any permission using sales group in the other domain like “mydomain.local” or “xyx.mydoamin.loca” you will not going to find the “sales “ group in those domain because the group local for that “abc.mydomain.local” child domain.

N.B.: I wellcome any comments or suggestion on the above. Thank You.

Hi and Assalamu Alikum (May peace and mercy of Allah be upon you),
There is an annoying problem everybody is suffering from:
When they log on to a user a pop-up dialog box of “wscript” appears which is very annoying.
Here is the solution,
Go to the

My Computer\HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1078081533-1960408961-164449137-1003\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountP

You will find under:

"wscript.exe VirusRemoval.vbs"
By double clicking the "Default" you will remover the string "wscript.exe VirusRemoval.vbs"
And where ever you find the string "wscript.exe VirusRemoval.vbs" remove it from the registry. OR
You can use the find option of the registry editor.
There is a snapshoot of that:

Besides this you have to go to:
"My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon"
in the registry
Edit the "Userinit" and remove the "wscript.exe" part.
